Changing Practice
Changing Lives
Previous projects across Canada include full Provincial implementations, local and individual agency implementations, ongoing training/coaching, consultation on complex cases, practice specialist guidance, trajectory and support as well as supervision and framework development for non-child protection organizations.
Clients served and promoted in the Signs of Safety approach have been Ministry driven, Province-wide, Multi-Ministry sytstems, as well as smaller individual organizations. Whether you have a staff of ten or ten thousand we can support you through one of the most beneficial changes you could ever make for your organization!

Prior to her work as a consultant/trainer with Resolutions Consultancy, Heidi spent 8 years on the front-line of social work initially as a child protection worker and later as a supervisor with a fully delegated Aboriginal Child Protection agency in British Columbia, Canada. Heidi has a Bachelor of Social Work with Child Welfare Specialization and a Masters of Social Work with Indigenous Specialization. Today she continues in her work as a consultant, training and coaching leadership and staff not only in the use and implementation of the Signs of Safety practice framework, but also in creating positive change for organizations as a whole.
Heidi has led one of the largest jurisdictional implementations of Signs of Safety throughout Alberta, Canada and is committed to her work as a Trainer and Consultant in Canada. She firmly believes that implementing this practice within your organization is not just about using the right tools, it’s about changing the way we think! It’s about shifting our practice from a deficit-based practice to a more positive, strength-based practice. Heidi has over 8 years experience in helping organizations implement the Signs of Safety framework across all levels of their organization but has also worked to develop a Supervision/Staff Evaluation model that ensures a parallel process throughout all departments of the implementing organization.
